With over 30 years in the International Film and Television Industry, accompanied with Web Design/Marketing since 1998, Jo Ann has served professionally in every major production position: A Producer, Director, Creative Architect, Production Manager and Coordinator, Production Accountant, etc. She has worked in most major media markets: Hollywood Feature Films, National Network Television, the Public Broadcasting System and National Public Radio, producing International Documentary & News Coverage, Advertising & Promotion. This experience was a natural transition to the recent years for Web Design and Development, Internet Marketing & New Media, as the new media technologies have exploded! From 1995-98, Jo Ann was Administrator for the Center for Entrepreneurship at Babson College, in Wellesley MA. She was responsible for working closely with the administration, collegiate and marketing departments, integrating new multinational clients, introducing new programs, and outreach for the domestic and international community. At that time, the Center was the largest online content provider on the college website, for which Jo Ann was responsible. She designing the layout for web content and off site usage, integration inside and off campus, creating the support architecture for on-campus and international access usages for their various programs.

She moved to Miami in January 1999 to design and develop the new website for WLRN Public Radio and Television, a multi-media broadcasting company. Her first feat was in March 1999, to design on early hibrid of what is commonly known now as the online pledge drive campaign: the ability to accept online donations to the National Public Broadcasting (PBS) and National Public Radio (NPR) stations housed within WLRN. It became the first CYBER Pledge Drive and full time internet access in Lower Florida.

Following that, she developed an innovative online marketing campaign for fundraising and enhancement for the cultural underwriters to the station, generating discount benefits to the listening arts-loving public: the CulturalConnection.org. The unique online purchasing of "same-day discount theatre tickets" website to support and encourage the Arts sponsorship for cultural programming. This created a win-win situation for the theatrical underwriters and supplemental income for the station. It is a recognized benefit to the theatergoing audience from the Palm Beaches to the Florida Keys for which WLRN was instrumental to enhance the awareness of the ARTS!

Before her departure, she constructed the online ability for WLRN to broadcast online: WLRN Live-Online broadcasting for the station, which allows listeners from around the world to login and "Listen Live!"

Since late 2001, Jo Ann has been an Internet, Media and Web Design consultant with commercial and non-profit clients to enhance their online marketing and web presence, utilizing the new e-marketing technologies. She is also Co-Producer of the Miami Space Time Project,~ a 7-camera timelapse digital media shoot, covering the project since March 2002 till completion. The construction of the uniquely exquisite design of the largest US site for the performing arts, is the multi-facility Performing Arts Center in downtown Miami. Estimated completion date for the facilities Grand Opening: October 2004. The Miami Space Time Project editing will also be completed for the grand opening.

Among Jo Ann's many awards as a production manager, there were top honors in documentary filmmaking for the 1987 PBS series, "Eyes on the Prize, 1954-1965," which included an Academy Award nomination, her most critical success. Equally as important was the Edward R. Morrow Award for the 1984 PBS "Frontline Special: Crisis in Central America", which changed the voting of Congress about funding the Contras.

Her major feature film/television credits were as on-location production coordinator for such films as: Jaws, The River Wild, The Brinks Job, Physical Evidence, See How She Runs!, The Law and Harry McGraw; among many others. She has also produced and designed advertising campaigns and videos for many national and international corporate and commercial clients.

The most noteworthy experience was traveling to Kuwait 14 months after liberation from the first Gulf War - arriving in May 1992 for a 2-week non-stop shoot, as a guest of the government. Their project was to reintroduce their nine scientific directorates, and how they conduct business worldwide, integrating the Arab experience into Western scientific knowledge. The assignment: producing a marketing video to send out to their past and new clientele, announcing they were well repositioned, and back in business after the war.

Jo Ann is also an avid and accomplished sailor. Spending over 30 years cruising the New England waters in antique and classic or modern yachts, as well as racing out of Marblehead, MA. She is now comfortably enjoying the cruising grounds in South Florida ~ venturing forth deep into the Bahamas and Caribbean to Panama, and even a summer in the Mediterranean! There are no limits to her journeys forward.
